IMC appoints new president
The International Information Management Congress (IMC, Boulder, CO) begins 1997 with the appointment of Paul Carmen to the role of president. Jack Lacy, previously president and CEO of IMC, retains the position of CEO. Carmen joined IMC in June 1996 as marketing director, following 26 years with the Business Imaging Systems division of Eastman Kodak (Rochester, NY, http://www.kodak.com).
IMC is currently expanding its conference and exhibition presence beyond Europe to the Middle East and Asia. A show in Singapore is scheduled for this fall. As Carmen states, providing educational opportunities and resources for the industry guides IMC's philosophy: "The mission is to help the imaging and document management industry grow."
