Royal & Sun aligns with the globe

Global insurance provider Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) is building a business portal worldwide to give its employees, intermediaries and customers access to applications and information through a single sign-on interface. R&SA wants to created a personalized and more efficient work environment for employees and more individualized and increased services to its customers and intermediaries.

Because of the information-intensive nature of its industry, R&SA wanted a solution that would support large numbers of users, facilitate access to relevant information and integrate existing and new applications. After reviewing various products, the company chose Coreport by Corechange for several reasons, according to a recent news release from Corechange. Those reasons include the software’s linear scalability in the Microsoft Active Directory environment, its role-based personalization capability, and its integration with the Autonomy Knowledge Management Suite.

Referring to the company’s global initiatives like myR&SA and R&SALearning.com, Pomfrett adds, “With one password, our employees will be able to access any application they need to do their job, and leverage our existing investment in Autonomy to search all authorized data repositories in a single query.”

Following deployment of the solution in Denmark, R&SA plans to launch it throughout the United Kingdom, Asia Pacific, Canada and the United States over the next 12 months.
