inMotionNow Adds New Security and Compliance Enhancements for Creative and Marketing Teams

inMotionNow, a provider of workflow management solutions for marketing and creative teams, has added two new features to strengthen security and compliance during the creative review process.

The new secure creative review and audit trail features are designed to meet the needs of creatives and marketers working in businesses regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and need to maintain compliance with 21 CFR 11.

Creatives and marketers are becoming increasingly sensitive to the needs for security and compliance in their workflow, said inMotionNow CTO Chris Trauzzi. The new enhancements are being introduced in response to requests from stakeholders in food packaging, pharmaceutical, and financial services, and other regulated industries, where compliance and security are required, Trauzzi noted.

The company’s flagship product, inMotion, is aimed at streamlining and automating administrative steps along the creative workflow process – from the initial request and creative brief – to review and approval. The inMotion platform is specifically designed to streamline processes between creatives and marketers.

For many marketing shops, creative reviews are an ad hoc process, with a range of reviewers weighing in with a viewpoint. By contrast, regulated industries are required to have tighter controls over this process, but it is not necessary to be a vendor in a regulated market to understand the growing importance of security and compliance, Trauzzi added.

According to inMotionNow, the FDA maintains broad authority to regulate products, labels, notices and advertising for foods, drugs, medical devices, veterinary products, like pet food, and electronic products that “give off radiation,” such as microwaves. The new inMotion features are designed to manage projects within these constraints during the creative and marketing process – to avoid an erroneous product labeling.

This release is the latest in a series of software updates the company has made to the inMotion product so far in 2017. In January, the company launched its new review and approval tool – and in May, it released the review feature for marking up and approving emails for marketing campaigns.
