enChoice scoops up MagicLamp’s assets, expands content automation solutions and services

enChoice, a provider of Digital Transformation solutions, announced an asset purchase agreement with MagicLamp Software to acquire MagicLamp’s library of proprietary software “accelerators” and corporate brand assets.

Concurrently, enChoice has engaged MagicLamp’s co-founder and former CEO, Scott Power, to support enChoice in the ongoing integration of MagicLamp’s customer relationships and technologies into enChoice’s Intelligent Capture business.

“Having already been introduced by Scott to several of MagicLamp’s marquee customer accounts, I’ve seen firsthand the extraordinary level of confidence and goodwill MagicLamp has earned in our space. We are excited to carry that legacy forward as we introduce those customers to enChoice’s expanded array of content automation solutions and services,” said Darrell Royal, president of enChoice’s enterprise division.

As an IBM Gold Business Partner, MagicLamp was recognized for its industry leadership in delivering high-value intelligent capture solutions based on the IBM Datacap platform.

Acquired by IBM in 2010, Datacap remains central to IBM’s Business Automation platform as the starting point for content ingestion, digitization, and automated document classification and data extraction.

Among the software assets acquired by enChoice in this transaction are several solution accelerators that enhance Datacap’s functional efficacy and ease of deployment:

  • Cloud OCR Connector
  • Data Migration tool
  • Cognitive Correction Module
  • Enhanced Email Extractor
  • ERP Data Gateway module
  • Enhanced Flex ID

Also included in the transaction is a library of over 65 custom software modules providing more specialized functional applications.

“We will be working with enChoice to transition MagicLamp’s considerable base of IBM Datacap customers and prospects to enChoice,” said Power. “We are confident our customers will experience a seamless transition, with no interruption in the expert support they’ve come to expect over the years, and I look forward to personally supporting the compelling vision enChoice is pursuing in this space.”
