UserWay partnership with Carahsoft Technology Corp ushers in AI-powered solutions to meet accessibility standards

UserWay, a digital accessibility company, is collaborating with Carahsoft Technology Corp., a trusted government IT Solutions Provider, to provide accessibility solutions for government websites to better cater towards disabled communities. Meeting accessibility standards for government agencies is an absolute necessity to avoid potential lawsuits, and this partnership provides an AI-powered solution to the otherwise timely manual upkeep of government websites to meet said standards, according to the vendors

With more than 80 accessibility features and extensive language support in over 40 languages, installation of the UserWay widget immediately begins adjusting websites to become more compliant with accessibility standards. Examples of these features consist of extensive customization such as larger font size, a screen reader, dyslexia-friendly font, and animation-pausing capability.

A notable feature of UserWay’s product solution is its discrete data system that gives disabled communities both privacy and accommodation. UserWay’s product does not require a disclosure of disability or labeling of disability on behalf of the user or system tracking (such as with cookies), nor does it collect or store user data. The company rigorously adheres to WCAG, ADA, GDPR, UNRUH, EN 301 549, COPPA, and HIPAA standards, according to the vendor.

“Public sector agencies need a simple accessibility solution for their websites and other digital assets that won’t break their budgets,” said Allon Mason, CEO of UserWay. “Our AI-powered solution is easy to install and immediately begins making sites more compliant with WCAG standards and ADA requirements.”

As Master Government Aggregator, Carahsoft will be able to distribute UserWay’s product solution within the public sector through their reseller partner network, NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) V, and National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) ValuePoint contracts. The product is designed for federal, state, and local government agency websites, offering an AI solution within the frameworks of a variety of levels of government institutions. UserWay’s integration with Carahsoft’s Customer Experience and Engagement portfolio will also provide UserWay AI solutions to educational and healthcare organizations.

“UserWay’s privacy protections, affordability, and high-quality are just a few of the major advantages of its robust digital accessibility services,” said Tiffany Goddard, sales director for customer experience and engagement solutions at Carahsoft. “We look forward to working with UserWay and our reseller partners to help agencies better manage accessibility for their websites and other digital assets.”
