TheBrain Updates Platform for Visualizing Thoughts and Organizing
TheBrain Technologies, a provider of visualization and knowledge management software, has announced the latest release of its platform.
The new release provides a context-driven, visual interface, giving users an alternative to linear note taking apps, hierarchical file/folder sharing services and conventional mind mapping by visualizing and reorienting users’ “thought display” each time a topic is selected.
With this release, the company says, TheBrain has been re-engineered from the ground up to provide enhanced capabilities in all aspects from the front-end user interface to the back-end data storage.
Rewritten as a native application and optimized for the OS-specific features on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, TheBrain 9 offers improved speed and scalability, according to the vendor.
In addition, a timeline features a zooming interface that scales from one day to multiple years, and events can be synced with Google Calendar and associated directly with thoughts and links. Additional new capabilities include an advanced content display that provides built-in viewing of attachments; a new notes editor; new visualization options including a “mind map view” which enables one-click access to hundreds of topic-specific notes, files, web pages and other attached content; and more powerful data sync for anytime, anywhere access.
