Tapping talent

SumTotal Systems has released Version 7.6 of its enterprise offering, which is designed to help executives find talent, identify and fill gaps in a workforce's skill set and recognize and reward employee performance.

The company says usability enhancements to SumTotal 7.6 include an array of features for employees to tap as they pursue their learning experience, including improved search, course registration panels and customer-designed displays.

The company highlights the following features of SumTotal 7.6:

  • a variety of performance-management capabilities for evaluating employee goals and reviewing succession plans;
  • new workflows for assigning training based upon a company's unique organizational structure;
  • a learning content management system that supports the latest edition of SCORM 2004, a collection of standards and specifications for Web-based e-learning; and
  • enhanced language capabilities to meet the needs of customers across Asia and Europe.
