Seeing clearly now—application performance monitoring

Quest has reported significant upgrades to Foglight, its flagship application performance monitoring (APM) product. The enhancements to Foglight provide a number of features to benefit the application performance monitoring process, including:

  • Network component alerts flow seamlessly into Foglight so you can quickly see their impact on SLAs and users, and built-in workflows allow quick isolation and resolution of problems.
  • Low-over Java traces can be triggered using HTTP parameter matching, while workflows trace slow Java code back to affected Web users.
  • Cross-platform database views allow seeing even high-level details on any database without deep drill-down.
  • Expanded single sign-on support provides access to Foglight without authenticating beyond the initial Windows credentials.
