Pinnacle Micro and CommVault partner

Pinnacle Micro (Irvine, CA, http://www.pinnaclemicro.com

) and CommVault (Eatontown, NJ, http://www.commvault.com) have provided increased storage capacity for optical libraries. Per a reseller agreement, the companies are combining Pinnacle's line of 5.25-in. optical jukeboxes with CommVault's compression technology to create an enterprisewide solution for open client-server environments. The result will be an optical jukebox with a potential storage capacity of up to 2.2 terabytes, or 1.1 terabytes when uncompressed. Pinnacle estimates the value of the partnership will fall between $4 and $5 million in 1997.
