New OpenText content management services to be delivered through SAP Cloud Platform

At SAP Sapphire in Orlando, OpenText, a provider of enterprise information management announced new OpenText content services that will be delivered through SAP Cloud Platform and other SAP solutions.

Planned for availability in Q4 2019 and developed on OpenText OT2, the new services will aim to address the need to manage structured data and unstructured content across applications and intelligent business processes. Delivered through SAP Cloud Platform, OpenText content services are planned to become available for applications such as SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP C/4HANA Cloud, and SAP SuccessFactors.

OpenText content services for SAP Cloud Platform will provide a centralized content repository and advanced content capabilities across SAP applications, reducing information sprawl and content management costs.

OpenText content services for SAP solutions will include standard and premium services:

  • Standard services include: document management, such as folder, file and meta data management, versioning and viewing capabilities and attachment lists.
  • Premium services include: enhanced solutions, such as extended content management, Office 365 integration, capture and document generation services.

"SAP and OpenText are strengthening our partnership to extend SAP's unified business data platform with unstructured content for the Intelligent Enterprise on SAP Cloud Platform," said Tom Roberts, global VP, Third Party Solutions, SAP. "These services and automatic document processing capabilities will help customers improve information flow and aid collaboration along the entire business process. Additionally, it will help them meet compliance requirements and increase productivity.”
