M-Files Launches Certified Application Partner Program

M-Files, a provider of solutions to help organizations manage documents and other information, has launched a Certified Application Partner program to certify and support developers of customized applications that leverage M-Files.

According to M-Files, an increasing number of its partners are developing applications that focus on specific business needs, such as those associated with various vertical industries, business process automation and integrations with other core business systems.

These applications include solutions for electronic forms management, document capture, connectors with ERP and accounting systems, case management, contract management and others.

The advantage of the new certification program is two-fold, according to Scott Erickson, senior vice president of channel sales. The program will allow Certified Application Partners to receive the support they need to build and promote their solutions, while resellers and customers will gain assurance that CAP program members have met M-Files standards for technical excellence and customer service.

M-Files partners typically create customized applications by utilizing the M-Files UI Extensibility Framework, which allows developers to create enhanced user experiences and interfaces; a RESTful API that provides developers with HTTP access to M-Files services; a  Microsoft COM and .NET API; or the Intelligent Connector API that simplifies the integration of structured and unstructured information systems.

The CAP program is aimed at helping M-Files partners by providing direct technical support from M-Files engineers. Partners also have access to both online and classroom-based training programs. In addition to technical assistance, the CAP program supports application partners by identifying them publicly as providers of solutions for resale through the M-Files partner community, and by promoting them via a variety of marketing channels.
