Kyndryl and Microsoft collaborate to drive innovative and accessible generative AI

Kyndryl, the technology infrastructure services provider, in a joint effort with Microsoft, is announcing an AI solution initiative that will accelerate the successful adoption of generative AI at the enterprise level. Powered by the companies’ Joint Innovation Centers, the Microsoft Cloud, and existing Kyndryl technology, this collaboration will fuel AI adoption and innovations in the space.

This announcement utilizes several components of each company’s existing technological offerings—specifically that of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure OpenAI Service, Microsoft Fabric, and Kyndryl’s growing patent portfolio in data and AI—to drive both the development and implementation of AI capabilities.

“Together with Kyndryl, we have a shared vision to responsibly enable our customers to jointly explore, design, and deploy generative AI solutions across their enterprises, and to do it in a way that enables them to realize business value,” said Stephen Boyle, GM of global partner solutions at Microsoft. “As a leader in the delivery of generative AI and data platforms, we believe partners such as Kyndryl are critical to the successful use of emerging technologies for business.”

In conjunction with Kyndryl and Microsoft’s joint AI initiative, Kyndryl is debuting an AI-readiness program—located within Kyndryl Consult—that emphasizes ethical generative AI adoption and usage. This program, equipped with highly skilled Kyndryl experts, will empower new and existing customers to begin their AI journeys with a robust and trusted data foundation, further informed by Kyndryl expertise in implementing generative AI successfully.

The program will offer a variety of education services, delving into a wide breadth of industries and solution use cases. This includes:

  • Opportunities to explore and co-create custom use cases for generative AI through Kyndryl Vital and the Microsoft and Kyndryl Joint Innovation Center
  • Kyndryl’s commitment toward enabling customers to improve workplace automation and productivity through new technology and industry-specific model development
  • End-to-end services that emphasize a trusted data foundation and architecture, manage customer data throughout its lifecycle, and ultimately improve data quality and reliability
  • Deployment of bespoke frameworks that empower greater data value and greater scaling for generative AI for customers, with responsibility and optimization in mind

“Kyndryl is creating a trusted environment for organizations to explore the benefits and value it can bring to organizations as they look to drive efficiencies, grow, and deliver greater business outcomes.” said Stephen Leonard, global alliances and partnerships leader at Kyndryl. “With over three decades of experience in delivering data services, advanced security capabilities, and managing complex IT environments, we are well-positioned to work alongside Microsoft to help organizations confidently apply generative AI at scale and positively impact their businesses while being mindful of known risks.”

Outside the expanse of this collaboration, Kyndryl will continue to enrich its advanced delivery capabilities through generative AI services, according to the vendor. Kyndryl Bridge will continue to enable customers to manage their AI both cost-effectively and securely through its AIOps and FinOps services.
