Improved mobile image capture from A2iA

A2IA has launched a new version of A2iA Mobility, its toolkit built for offline mobile data recognition and image analysis. With a new Auto-Locate feature, Version 3.0 permits users to capture an image of a document, check or ID without any interaction or pressing the camera’s shutter button.

By automatically detecting a document within a video stream and taking the photo, there is no bounding-box or pre-defined zone required. The company explains that as long as the document is shown on the screen of the mobile device, A2iA Mobility will intelligently locate and capture the image.

Applicable to various document types including checks, identification documents and other forms and documents, A2iA Mobility 3.0 is available for integration into iOS 64-bit and Android apps and performs all processes locally, without cellular service or Wi-Fi, for real-time business operations.
