Igloo Software bolsters digital workplace platform with Microsoft Teams functionality
Igloo Software, a provider of digital workplace solutions, will be providing a series of integrations and functionality enhancements with Microsoft Teams. The integration of Microsoft Teams with Igloo’s Digital Workplace platform is intended to build on its existing Office 365 integrations and corporate and team-level communication and collaboration.

Duplicated initiatives, siloed conversations, and team productivity challenges are problems for organizations around the world, said Dan Latendre, founder and CEO of Igloo Software. The Microsoft Teams integration is among a series of solutions and enhancements that Igloo is bringing to market to solve these issues and surface information, files, and conversations in a much more user-friendly manner than was possible with legacy intranets, Latendre added.
Phase one of the enhancements to Igloo’s Digital Workplace platform will extend Microsoft Teams functionality for users in the following areas:
Direct Messaging: From the Igloo personal profile page, profile card, and within activity streams, Igloo users can send direct messages to users of Microsoft Teams, facilitating deeper collaboration and communication across an organization.
Content Sharing: Content can also be shared bi-directionally between the Igloo Digital Workplace and Microsoft Teams channels, enhancing collaboration around content. For example, from within Igloo, users can select a channel in Microsoft Teams to directly share content and initiate conversations with specific Microsoft Teams users.
Personal Dashboard: From within Microsoft Teams, users can create a personalized dashboard showcasing corporate content, conversations, connections, and activity streams from within their corporate Igloo Digital Workplace.
