Autonomy Interwoven has announced significant enhancements to its Web content management platform that deliver new capabilities to TeamSite, LiveSite and Autonomy Virage MediaBin. All use Autonomy’s IDOL (Intelligent Data Operating Layer) architecture.

The new WCM platform provides marketers with new surf-and-edit capabilities such as keyword shortcuts, fixed area layout and in-line editing, and offers seamless integration with Microsoft Office, such as Outlook for task-based approval and alerts. Installation and administration have been improved, as well, says Autonomy.

The company claims that LiveSite delivers industry-first agnostic content delivery capabilities, allowing marketers to dynamically display content to any display environment, including portal, Flash, AJAX and .NET. Further, it says, the platform provides the full spectrum of implicit and explicit targeting capabilities across all channels, including Web, contact center and social media. Also, Autonomy automatically tags and forms a conceptual understanding of all content, inside and outside a corporation. This underlying capability allows businesses to instantly deliver more relevant, targeted content to customers.

The platform deploys Autonomy Virage MediaBin rich media analytics to obtain a conceptual understanding of all images or videos, regardless of format or language. The system automatically tags all content and presents digital assets through a new rich media interface, allowing marketers and agency partners to more quickly and easily find and present the right image, every time. Virage MediaBin also includes a new lightweight, browser-based graphics file editor that enables marketers to edit, resize, crop and adjust brightness and color of logos and other images directly on a Web page.
