Help for the life sciences

NextDocs has announced a significant upgrade to its Microsoft Office SharePoint Server-based software suite for life sciences companies. The company says Version 3.5 of the NextDocs Regulatory Document Management System includes an entirely new module for managing clinical documents as well as new features that enhance users’ ability to easily manage regulated content.

NextDocs explains the Clinical Documents Module joins the SOP Management Module and the Regulatory Documents Modules as a component of the NextDocs Document Management System. It provides an out-of-the-box solution for collaboration and document sharing between sponsors, investigators, site monitors and vendors. Further, the company says, it includes support for scheduling and tracking of site monitor visits, documentation of investigational products protocols and support for essential study documents such as investigator brochures, study protocols, 1572s, informed consent forms and investigator CVs.

The new release also includes new usability features including the ability to conduct parallel reviews and annotations using Microsoft Word and the ability to launch workflow and lifecycle processes directly from Microsoft Word.
