Ektron unveils new version

Ektron has released the latest version of its robust Web content management software. The company reports CMS400.NET V. 7.6 includes a host of new features and a new deployment strategy to fit the needs of both the small and medium-sized business (SMB) market segment, as well as Ektron’s enterprise-level customer base.

New features include:

URL aliasing--SEO-friendly, human-readable addresses are auto-generated by CMS400.NET based on a Web site’s taxonomy or folder structure.

SEO control--Marketers can view how SEO-friendly their site currently is, and SEO control provides such things as W3C compliances, Web site ranking, what type of keywords and descriptions are in the page, as well as a keyword and phrase cloud, etc.

eSync--Ektron’s advanced synchronization technology revolutionizes the process of deploying and updating Web sites, from single sites to global multisites to server farms; eSync simplifies the process of deploying, changing or updating Web sites and bi-directionally manages content, whether it is a single item or an entire site.

Personalization--Version 7.6 provides a framework on which to build and integrate personalized portals into Web sites through the Ektron Portal Framework, which lets developers easily build digital dashboards equipped with applications, widgets and tools that allow users to organize and customize their work space, accessing multiple sources of information from a single page.

Multisite--Numerous Web sites can be launched and managed simultaneously from a single work area.
