Easing multilingual Web site woes

Obtree says its C4 Version 4.1 includes include translation version control, a tool the company claims will further reduce translation costs and increase the efficiency and continuity of content associated with multilingual Web sites.

Obtree adds that the new version enables site translators to make changes via the Web from any country location, ensuring greater flexibility, cultural fit and efficiencies. Further, it says, translation providers do not require any technical skills to translate content directly.

The company says the C4 platform provides IT managers with the enterprise content management infrastructure to build tailored, flexible content management solutions for larger corporations. Version 4.1 will precisely track the edits and any reorganization of text, automatically alerting the appropriate person for approval or translation.
