As a further example of the iPhone's penetration into the enterprise, Dow Jones has unveiled a new mobile application, Dow Jones Sales Triggers for iPhone and iPod Touch, which is available at no cost on the Apple App Store.

Dow Jones says Sales Triggers has been designed for access to up-to-the-minute intelligence about business changes such as management moves, mergers and new investments. This is particularly advantageous for sales professionals who need to stay on top of prospects and customers in their territory, says the company. It adds that the new offering enables sales professionals to take immediate action, by showing which events actually trigger the best opportunities. Additionally, users can look up a company or executive to retrieve key information and find the right individuals at target companies.
