Catalyst Introduces Full EDRM Platform with Integrated Legal Hold and Collection

Catalyst, which designs, hosts, and services document repositories for e-discovery and regulatory compliance, has introduced Insight Legal Hold and Collection, a set of integrated capabilities for data collection, preservation and culling, developed in partnership with TotalDiscovery.

With Insight Legal Hold and Collection, Insight Enterprise becomes a full electronic discovery reference model (EDRM) platform, spanning the discovery process from legal holds and collections through to processing, review, analysis, and production. Through integration with TotalDiscovery's cloud-based legal hold product, the companies say, corporations and law firms can securely transfer data from preservation holds directly into Catalyst's e-discovery search and review platform, Catalyst Insight.

According to the vendors, as internal data volumes have increased, companies have struggled to manage legal holds and collections. TotalDiscovery has developed an automated, SaaS-based legal hold technology that helps reduce the risks and costs associated with the legal hold process, and also helps ensure a defensible process.

Insight Legal Hold and Collection connects to enterprise systems, including Office 365, SAP and others.
