CMS Enhancements offers CD-ROM server at 16x speed

The latest offering from CMS Enhancements (Costa Mesa, CA,

http://www.cmsenh.com) claims to be the first 16x-speed CD-ROM server. The Eclipse 16X Tower ($11,434) offers up to 9 GB of storage with a sustained data transfer rate of 2,400 KB per second.

The Eclipse ships with MediaAgent for CDs software. A version offering 14 8x-CD changers is available with a 30-GB storage capacity.
