BroadSoft Acquires Intellinote

BroadSoft, Inc., a global unified communication software as a service provider, has acquired Reston, Virginia-based Intellinote, an enterprise messaging-based team communication and collaboration software application built for the increasingly mobile and millennial workforce.

With team-centric collaboration capabilities that include enterprise messaging, project, task and content management, and more than 50 application integrations, BroadSoft says that Intellinote will advance its vision for Project Tempo, an open communications framework that enables team collaboration and productivity by integrating enterprise cloud applications with contextual intelligence and real-time unified communications services provided by BroadSoft UC-One.

According to Taher Behbehani, chief digital and marketing officer, BroadSoft, the combination of the consumerization of IT, shadow IT, and the rise of millennials in the workforce have all caused disruption to the traditional business and communication models, while current point solutions are proving inadequate and lack the necessary integration. BroadSoft’s Project Tempo, he said, is aimed at  an integrated, contextual, and mobile collaboration experience, to allow individuals and teams to work the way they choose and focus on areas where they can have the greatest impact - and the Intellinote acquisition will help BroadSoft realize this goal.
