Web data monitoring and collection solution provider Connotate and analytics vendor Luminoso have joined forces to exploit Web data for voice of the customer analysis, market research and product development.

Luminoso explains it derives value from big data by combining textual understanding with a proprietary comprehensive knowledgebase it has collected from the Internet over the past 12 years. Further, its automated evaluation of documents and context is said to eliminate the need to build cumbersome rule sets. In many cases, it claims, the software produces actionable results within hours of receiving initial data input.
