AvePoint launches new version of Meetings
AvePoint has released Meetings 3 Service Pack (SP) 2, which provides organizations a unified collaboration space, seamless SharePoint and Outlook integration, and fully auditable meeting documentation, says AvePoint.
The new offering, which is available for SharePoint 2013 on premises and SharePoint Online, delivers new features that enhance the way employees collaborate, make decisions, assign tasks and review information. New capabilities include:
- touch support and interface updates—AvePoint Meetings is now fully optimized for touch devices so users can manage their meetings, take notes and collaborate on the go;
- meeting classifications—meeting items, including agendas and tasks can be classified with out-of-the-box or custom tags to easily find information when the meeting ends;
- managed metadata and search—metadata management enables users to build and narrow search queries tailored to their specific needs, such as discover meeting, agenda, action, note, assignment and attachment information with full configuration; and
- enhanced Outlook integration—the Outlook Plug-in simplifies synchronization between the SharePoint application and Outlook calendar for integrated meeting and task management, permitting users to create new meetings directly in Outlook and maintain application capabilities within a single, familiar collaboration platform.
