A portal with a view

VistaPortal has added another offering to its suite of products and services: VistaView, which the company describes a task-specific collaborative work space delivered as a decentralized personal portal to promote knowledge integration, visualization, file sharing and information exchange.

The company explains that peer-to-peer and common distributed technologies are employed throughout VistaView, which consists of Web-enabled applications such as VistaRepository (JXTA based P2P collaboration and file sharing space), VistaQuery and VistaReport Designers (for data gathering from disparate sources and producing unified reports) and VistaBoard (a visual dashboard providing customized visualization and data analysis of the accessed data sources).
