National Instruments has chosen a unified information access platform to enable more efficient knowledge discovery and analysis into the future.

After evaluating a number of solutions, National Instruments decided that Attivio’s Active Intelligence Engine (AIE) would best handle its requirements, particularly related to ontology-driven query completion, auto categorization, sentiment analysis, dictionary management, recommendations, language support and improved relevancy boosting, according to Attivio.

Kenn North, search product manager at National Instruments, says, “We are excited and anxious to roll out Attivio AIE and begin utilizing its new features, especially those that will empower our flagship search capabilities and improve access to information via our intranet across many geographies. In the final evaluation, Attivio best met our key criteria with superb functionality and the flexibility to meet our current and future needs, including CRM search with advanced security and permissioning.” Attivio reports that other key factors in National Instruments’ choice of its solution include AIE’s Linux and SQL support and patented ability to join all related content and data at query time.
