A consistent view of BI
After buying Sweden’s Vin & Spirit business, the French liquor firm Pernod Ricard Nordic found itself with three disparate, in-house business intelligence (BI) systems. To lower costs and provide a consistent view of critical business information, the company decided to standardize on the WebFOCUS platform from Information Builders. Pernod Ricard Nordic will also use Information Builders’ Active Reports as a portable BI solution for 85 users, as well as its ad hoc reporting solution, InfoAssist, for 20 users.

Pernod Ricard Nordic, which operates in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, is a cluster within the Pernod Ricard Europe region. The wine and spirits firm’s financial controllers in each country access multiple data sources to build financial reports to manage the business. The BI solution provided the functionality Pernod Ricard Nordic needed--in particular, the ability to drill in whatever direction it wants, allowing users to break out of a normal hierarchy.
