Using hybrid cloud for content in a modern digital organization

KMWorld recently held a webinar featuring Mike Mahon president and CEO, Zia Consulting; Tim Asaro, content services specialist, ASG Technologies; and Kevin Bender, account executive, content , management, ASG Technologies, who discussed best practices in combining cloud and on-premises services to better meet customer needs now and in the future.

There are several external drivers to move to the cloud, Mahon explained. Security threats are constantly evolving and compliance risk and regulations are increasing. Legacy systems and prior investments are crippling businesses. And it is estimated there are 20 billion connected devices.

There are 30% more content systems compared to five years ago, Mahon said. Cloud offers scalability, IT cost reduction and renewed focus, agility, and business continuity.

Companies that move swiftly and decisively are likely to be the ones that flourish, according to Mahon.
