Vital Path has announced new records management capabilities in PathBuilder’s solution to enhance federated records management capabilities for SharePoint, Documentum, Livelink and other ECM solutions.

The PathBuilder software allows organizations to continue managing content at the line of business application or at a departmental level--while managing records at the enterprise level.

Working in conjunction with an organization’s choice of records management solution, Vital Path says, PathBuilder enables customers to rapidly implement and enforce standard information policies across their enterprise as required by the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Further, it says, PathBuilder’s seamless integration with more than two dozen existing content management systems allows organizations to perform federated searches, place holds or dispositions on content across their existing line of business and document management systems.

PathBuilder is a content migration and integration software platform specifically designed for unstructured content including documents, spreadsheets and e-mails. PathBuilder helps companies quickly and easily integrate diverse content repositories. It can migrate or integrate content systems with relative ease, while enabling federated searching and in-place records management across a company’s enterprise.
