Mobile device management from SpringCM

SpringCM’s latest release features new mobile device management (MDM) capabilities that enable companies to limit the risks of using personal devices for file sharing. Organizations can now control which devices are allowed to store content without affecting personal apps or content. They can also safely wipe files from devices that are lost or used by former employees.

The new release builds upon features previously introduced in July that allow management to not only determine what files can and cannot be synced, but also what colleagues can do with the files once they are synced, including view, edit and delete.

The latest version of the SpringCM cloud-based ECM solution also includes the following capabilities:

• faster use of attributes to automatically organize scanned documents;
• simplified document editing with a new feature providing a single click to open and edit any document in a desktop application, including offline support to start editing in office, finish at home; and
• dragging and dropping files directly from the desktop into a SpringCM folder.
