Metalogix launches Content Matrix 6.1

Metalogix has unveiled the latest version of Content Matrix, which features an enhanced and simplified user interface to ease preparation, migration and maintain SharePoint content in both SharePoint 2013 and Office 365.

Metalogix says prior to Content Matrix 6.1, SharePoint administrators were forced to work with site and content owners and use low-level scripting tools to perform the cleanup and preparation. They also had to undergo the manual, error-prone and time-consuming process of deleting unused sites, consolidating site collections and cleaning up metadata. With Content Matrix 6.1, the company says, administrators can streamline the entire migration process by aligning content with the information architecture of the target SharePoint 2013 or Office 365 environment.

Version 6.1 allows SharePoint administrators to access the content organization tools in Content Matrix through the SharePoint Central Admin interface to delete unwanted content, move and merge site collections and streamline site structures, users, groups, content types and other SharePoint elements. It further provides content organization tools to SharePoint 2010 and 2013 site owners and users via the Ribbon and Context Menu user interface. Administrators can now grant users the ability to easily bulk import, move, copy and categorize content they own.
