Janya unleashes Semantex 4.5

Janya has unveiled Semantex 4.5, the latest version of its advanced text analytics platform. Janya reports that the new version is able to power a range of solutions from e-discovery and compliance monitoring to information integration in enterprise systems.

The company highlights the following new capabilities:

Enhanced ability to understand sentiment and social media—key improvements that allow extraction of information from a range of Web 2.0 technologies.

Broader language support—unicode-based, thus enabling multilingual text exploitation (language packs for text extraction in Chinese and Urdu are available with other packs under development).

User customization—an intuitive graphical interface (Semantex Workbench) that enables subject matter experts to tailor extraction through a range of simple-to-sophisticated dictionary, pattern and statistical approaches.

Greater scalability—both the enterprise and workgroup editions are scalable via a distributed architecture and multithreading respectively.

Easier integration—the Semantex Web API provides a SOAP interface for deployment in a service oriented architecture-based solution.
