IBM to acquire Kenexa
IBM has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire recruiting and talent management provider Kenexa in a cash deal valued at approximately $1.3 billion. IBM says the move will help its clients embrace social business capabilities while gaining actionable insights from the massive volume of information generated from social networks.
Kenexa solutions combine cloud-based technology and consulting services that integrate both people and processes, providing solutions to engage an effective workforce across critical business functions.
Kenexa has approximately 2,800 employees and operations in 21 countries worldwide. The company will be integrated into IBM's Software and Services Groups. IBM reports it has made more than 25 acquisitions the past three years and has closed eight acquisitions in 2012.
