Cutting though content

PaperThin has released CommonSpot Content Server 3.0, a browser-based Web publishing and dynamic content management solution. PaperThin claims Version 3.0 offers out-of-the-box functionality, and, introduces a variety of new features designed to speed and simplify site development and maintenance, such as an improved administrator interface, integrated link management tools and expanded scheduling and reporting options.

Further, says the company, new tools such as cascading to sheet support, enhanced WYSIWYG editing and pop-up menus enable Web designers to empower contributors to easily create content, while flexibly controlling the look and feel of a site. Plus, says PaperThin, CommonSpot's new content object architecture enables designers to build custom elements that allow contributors to create content once and reuse it often. CommonSpot 3.0's new replication features, enhanced search performance and support for the Sun Solaris platform provide additional options for enterprise scalability.

The base price for a standard CommonSpot license is $19,500.
