Connotate launches Version 4.3

Connotate, which provides technology and services to harvest and monetize Web content, has unveiled the latest version of its platform. Connotate 4.3 is said to include major improvements and capabilities, including a new browser engine that expands coverage to a broader array of dynamic websites, productivity advancements that make it faster to build and publish agents, and the ability to deliver to MongoDB and other SQL databases.

Connotate says Version 4.3 is especially well suited for companies in the information industry, which rely on Connotate’s scalability, highly automated production processes and built-in data transformations.

Connotate cites key improvements in the following areas:

  • performance and expanded coverage through a new browser engine based on the latest WebKit release that supports extraction from advanced and dynamic websites;
  • user experience through enhanced user interface and navigation capabilities;
  • productivity by allowing copy-and-paste for JavaScript injection, adding new runtime debug features and providing leaner agent footprint for publishing; and
  • integration capabilities by supporting Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB as delivery databases, custom XML delivery format for RSS and additional parameters and error checks on Web services API.
