BIRT goes mobile with Actuate

Actuate has launched BIRT PowerDocs for the Salesforce1 Mobile App, a cloud-based app designed to automatically incorporate ERP and CRM data and simplify generation of customer sales quotations and other correspondence within Salesforce1. (BIRT stands for Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools, an open source software project that provides reporting and business intelligence capabilities.)

BIRT PowerDocs app can be accessed from any device including a PC, tablet or smartphone running either Android or iOS, allowing organizations of all sizes and industries to generate and continuously edit customer documents in the cloud with just a few steps. All processes and files associated with quotation creation and management can be saved in a file system or backup server, issued through a wide variety of channels, and even printed directly from Salesforce. Generated documents can be archived in any location.
