BI, XML and AJAX

Business intelligence reporting tool vendor LogiXML has significantly expanded its support for industry standards--most notably, AJAX (asynchronous JavaScript and XML)--for its hallmark product, LGX Info, a unified Web-based managed reporting environment.

The company explains the AJAX integration allows portions of a page to be updated based on user actions, increasing both speed and functionality. The latest version of LGX Info offers new and sophisticated visualization options, including Heat Maps, which allow users to quickly identify trends, exceptions and outliers in large amounts of data. Heat Maps also can support "root-cause" analyses, which can identify business opportunities.

LGX Report and Report Plus also now include AJAX support.
