Acquia adds complementary Drupal cloud apps

Acquia has unveiled what it calls significant enhancements to the Acquia Network, which provides developers and site builders with a collection of answers, tools and support for assembling Web experiences with Drupal. The additions are designed to empower Acquia Network subscribers with self-guided training for Drupal concepts and best practices, site testing under a variety of traffic load conditions, an Internet marketing report specific to Drupal, and enhanced vision and proactive management of site configuration issues. These applications are designed to complement Acquia Cloud, Drupal-optimized hosting for developers and enterprises.

In other Acquia news, the company reports it has acquired Cyrve, which offers Drupal migration services, and Growing Venture Solutions, a provider of Drupal security services. As a result, Acquia has announced two new offerings for Drupal Web site owners: Acquia Migration Services and Acquia Security Services.

Acquia explains its Migration Services solution includes a suite of software tools, modules, best practices and expertise to help organizations migrate content from legacy Web content management and social software systems to Drupal. Its Security Services group performs security audits and works with customers to develop comprehensive security plans to respond to security vulnerabilities as they arise. Additionally, the team offers implementation guidance to meet specific security requirements.
