EMC Syncplicity launches iPhone app
EMC Syncplicity has released a new iPhone app. The company says the app’s elegant user experience is built on the foundation of innovative consumer apps with added sophistication designed to simplify complex tasks and overcome the constraints of using a mobile device.
Key features include:
- 3-D menu panels that can be viewed with easy left or right swiping and deep folder navigation on a z-axis;
- a new calendar app that connects to calendar invitation and meeting notices on mobile devices and makes predictions for sharing content and other content-related tasks;
- deep user-based search capabilities, through a drag-and-drop system, that bring up all the files a single person has shared, enabling easy content discovery;
- multi-location copying allowing users to quickly copy-over multiple files to one location; and
- editing and annotation of all Microsoft Office documents and PDFs without needing an Office license or any third-party applications.
