Dr. Sebastian Dewhurst is Vice President of Enterprise Applications, and as such leads AEA Technology’s EASA business. He obtained a First Class degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oxford in 1988. He then joined AEA Technology’s Thermal Hydraulics group, and later obtained his doctorate in Laser Doppler Anemometry (also from Oxford). In 1993, he moved to AEA Technology’s Pittsburgh office, selling the CFX flow simulation software to customers in the Aerospace, Chemical, and Power Generation industries in the eastern US and Latin America. Promoted to Vice President of Strategic Partnerships in 1999, he became a Global Account Manager, responsible for key accounts in the manufacturing sector and covering all AEA Technology Engineering Software products. Along with two colleagues, he developed the EASA concept in 1999, and upon approval the EASA program in September 2000, he became program manager.
