Boosting Skyy Spirits' intranet

As hot summer months evoke thoughts of ice cubes clinking in a glass of tonic topped with a slice of lime, gin and vodka distributors better have the glitches worked out of their distribution systems.

To help ensure that its supply meets its demand, Skyy Spirits has installed software to provide its sales force with 24/7 Internet access to distributor sales, order and inventory data. The company, which is the creator, marketer and distributor of Skyy Vodka, has selected InfoImage Decision Portal for its intranet reporting strategy.

“[The portal] will allow us to streamline information-intensive processes and provide a central communication hub for the entire company,” says Mitch Wortzman, CFO of Skyy Spirits. “Employees and business partners will be able to remotely self-access timely sales reports, financial reports, marketing materials, human resources forms and the latest company news faster and easier, saving our corporate staff from having to generate customized reports for them.”

The portal is said to give users the ability to access information from disparate systems, synchronize, collaborate with subject matter experts throughout the decision network, and extend the portal to the value chain,

“The portal will allow Skyy Spirits to provide synchronized information and a collaborative environment to improve and streamline its distribution function,” says InfoImage CEO Randall Eckel.

Headquartered in San Francisco, Skyy Spirits has offices and distributors across the United States. It also is the exclusive U.S. importer of nine other premium spirits brands including Cutty Sark and Campari.
