All the content that’s fit to publish

To increase readers--and revenues--a U.K. publisher has implemented B2B content management software from Kinecta to provide infrastructure and services for its syndication network.

Future Publishing, part of The Future Network, will use the new system to syndicate such content as updated articles, news and product reviews for its various media properties. Those cover such topics as technology and computing, gaming, entertainment, music and sports. The company publishes more than 90 magazines and 40 Web sites in France, Italy, Poland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

According to Erik Pillar, Future Publishing’s business development manager, “Future has built its business through creating uniquely differentiated, high-quality content that is specialized for specific audiences and captures the reader’s attention. Kinecta’s solution gives us complete control over the distribution of that content by allowing us to set up direct relationships and productize and deliver customized content offerings.”

Kinecta Syndication Server provides the publisher with a scalable infrastructure for syndication to various content partners that wish to license Future’s content for publishing on their own Web sites. Its customers are said to benefit through the ability to increase e-commerce, build community, heighten brand awareness, improve traffic and establish user loyalty by using relevant, well-recognized third-party content, according to a recent news release.

“Through online syndication,” says David Mathison, Kinecta chairman and CEO, “Future is able to extend its reach to increase revenues and brand awareness, while providing stickiness and user retention for its customers. Using the Kinecta platform to automate content packaging and distribution, Future Publishing will also be able to realize significant cost savings by reducing the number of people required to carry out these processes.”
