Crawford selects Formware for claims processing

Formware (Park City, UT) has been chosen to provide forms processing solutions for Crawford & Company (Atlanta), the world's largest provider of risk and claims management services. The system, which will be integrated with First Health's cost management and adjudication system, will process over 7,000 HCFA-1500 and UB-92 claims and related attachments daily. Images and data will be captured from the forms, and exported to a host system for further processing, storage and retrieval. A return-on-investment (ROI) of less than one year is predicted. By centralizing the data capture and bill paying from six nationwide offices to its Atlanta headquarters, the company will be more efficient, said Bruce Lobona, Crawford's senior VP of Information Technology. When fully active, he added, the system will enable Crawford to "capture the data and images faster and more accurately, while reducing the time required to adjudicate and pay claims." Formware president and CEO Reynolds Bish is especially pleased with the significant focus on Formware's professional services. "We have significantly increased our staff and capabilities in this area over the last year to meet the needs of our channel partners and direct end user customers," he said.
