Cloud-based ECM

SpringCM has launched the newest version of its SaaS enterprise content management (ECM) platform. The company reports SpringCM V. 5.4 has dozens of new features and upgrades designed to make the platform even more powerful and easier to use. The company emphasizes the follow capabilities:

Enhanced automation of key records management activities—V. 5.4 enables organizations to automatically set the retention period on a record based on a date field inside a document (e.g., hire date, contract expiration date, etc.); users can also now automatically classify a document as a record from within a SpringCM Advanced Workflow or a document rule, enabling business logic to drive records definition.

Flexible, customized dashboards and reporting—dashboards released in the earlier version have been expanded with more options;

Extensible, plug-and-play design and deployment—SpringCM 5.4 enhances an organization’s abilities to update applications with new features.

Other enhancements in V. 5.4 extend the view and markup functionality, thereby improving the functionality exposed through Web services and PDF manipulation capabilities of the platform.
