User-driven view of information

A global insurance and financial services consulting firm has deployed new search technology for its redesigned Web site. LIMRA International has chosen Coveo's G2B Information Access Suite to provide its more than 850 members with instant access to abstracts from thousands of research reports.

Ken DaCunha, LIMRA's Internet development director and Webmaster, says, "We were dissatisfied with our previous search engine and needed to replace it as we redeveloped our Web site. From start to finish, the implementation of a new search engine had to be done within a very tight timeframe. Not only did Coveo’s technology meet the challenge with an easy and quick implementation, but its sales and support team was there with me every step of the way."

The solution's user-driven interface and search filters allow LIMRA's insurance and financial services members to search by a number of user-defined facets to find what they are looking for across multiple silos of information, Coveo reports in a recent news release.

Coveo also reports that LIMRA plans to expand its use of its technology for indexing full PDF reports, as well as data from Microsoft SharePoint and its intranet.
