Structured DM

Version 4.3 of Astoria Software's namesake product has been developed to enhance XML authoring for distributed work groups. Enabling secure Web authoring, Astoria Version 4.3 also delivers features designed to make it easier for distributed work groups to manage, review, assemble and publish complex documents, says the company.

Astoria further reports that authors using Arbortext Enterprise Publishing Software V 5.1 now have secure, remote access to the Astoria Structured Document Management Server via a new bridge developed by Astoria that provides full access to all Astoria applications. Also new in Astoria Version 4.3 is support for advanced differencing to automate content updates from third-party sources, as well as the ability to branch a document to create two release variants and then merge them back together for a future version. Other features include filtered publishing for custom output and enhanced search. All Astoria applications are Windows Server 2003-certified.
