Stellent releases Version 8

Stellent's Content Components Division has released Outside In Technology Version 8.0, which is engineered to enhance software applications such as enterprise content management, search, e-mail management, antivirus/anti-spam security, data forensics, litigation support, product life cycle management, portals and compliance management. Stellent says the Outside In SDKs allow customers to extract text and metadata, provide a high-fidelity view of file contents and convert files into any one of 10 output formats without relying on the native applications.

Version 8.0 is a new release of the entire suite of Outside In products: Viewer Technology, Content Access, Search Export, HTML Export, XML Export, Image Export and Transformation Server. The new release includes performance improvements, as well as new file format and operating system support. Additionally, Stellent says, it includes an architectural enhancement that consolidates graphics handling code into one module, which will significantly reduce time-to-market for future Outside In releases.
