Factiva has released a new suite of solutions for Microsoft Office 2003 and SharePoint Products and Technologies. The company reports the new solution pack for Microsoft Office 2003, Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 enables information workers to quickly and easily find, organize, read and act on business news and information from inside their most used applications.
Factiva reports the new offerings include:
Web Parts for searching and monitoring news and information. Factiva has released two new Web Parts for SharePoint Products and Technologies. Track Web Part allows groups to view news about specific interest areas, and iWorks provides a search tool for information workers. Both employ Factiva's XML platform and indexing to tailor results and can be used in the Office 2003 Research Task Pane.
Daily news summaries. Using Factiva content and tools and Microsoft Office 2003, information experts can easily create summaries of top news items for executives, departments or teams.
Group news feeds for SharePoint Portal Server 2003. Factiva has developed a new tool to help portal administrators facilitate news delivery into SharePoint Portal Server 2003
Smart Tag technology. Users can receive more information about a company directly from any Office 2003 document.
IE toolbar--Customers can search the Factiva archive of 9,000 global sources directly from the Internet Explorer browser.
