Contextware has introduced KM Profiler, a new bundled service offering. KM Profiler is said to provide businesses of all sizes an affordable and rapid way to capture the knowledge of subject matter experts (SMEs) and critical business processes. The service is a fixed-fee, fixed-scope offering that helps businesses to capture, organize and share the tacit knowledge critical to the operation of the organization.

KM Profiler combines Contextware’s methodology for capturing tacit information from SMEs with the company’s technology for delivery of that information. Once tacit knowledge is captured in Contextware, clients provide designated employees with secure, password-protected access to the content via the Web.

A typical Profiler engagement will include an initial scoping of the effort, a series of iterative interviews with the SME and then final build out and release of the SME’s knowledge or process profile in Contextware.
