Communicating consistently to grow tourism

Tourism Australia has enlisted the help of SDL to increase the demand for leisure and business travel in that country. Tourism Australia chose SDL’s language translation services for localizing its Web and marketing content into 17 languages on its online channels Australia.com, NothingLikeAustralia.com, AussieSpecialist.com; YouTube; and There’s Nothing like Australia app for the iTunes and Android markets.

The SDL solution for the tourism organization includes language services for project management, terminology identification, in-country translation and quality assurance, SDL Translation Management System and SDL Trados Studio.

The solutions were chosen because of their translation quality, translation and quality assurance processes, and competitively priced technology, according to SDL.

Barbara Durance, editor of Tourism Australia, says, “Following a thorough evaluation, it was evident that SDL is our ideal partner for the future. A track record of delivery with dedicated, skilled resources, a strong strategic focus on processes, quality and continuous improvement, and a visionary approach to technology confirmed our decision.”

“Tourism Australia needed to communicate in a consistent manner at all times … We’ve increased the quality and consistency of translation, reduced costs and accelerated the time to market for translated content, enhancing online customer experience and engagement,” says Richard Delanty SDL VP of sales & operations, Asia.
